The Tattooed Ballerinas are a company of modern dancers assembled by choreographer Hattie Mae Williams. the company works with a wide range of movement signatures and techniques. A style has been created by Hattie Mae Williams using flow, satire, floor work, waves-breaks, small gestures and art in public places. Perfecting the art of "guerilla dancing," The Tattooed Ballerinas are changing the "focus"; Participating in venues originally intended for musicians, clubs, theathers, lounges and public places. New York transit systems became the stage for The Tattooed Ballerinas, Subway Series a collection of works performed all over New Yorks City's subway cars, platforms and parks. In 2005 the company performed a new collection titled 10 items or Less which took place in New York City's supermarkets bringing art to everyday people in an atmosphere where beauty and symmetry is often overlooked.
Hattie Mae Williams

Hattie Mae Williams is the artistic director/ choreographer of The Tattooed Ballerinas created in 2003. She attended the New World School of the Arts in Miami, Florida where she received honors in Modern dance and choreography and attended the Fordham University/ Alvin Ailey B.F.A program where she graduated with choreography honors. Hattie Mae Williams was a recipient of the ARTS award in 1999 from the National Endowment of the Arts in Modern, and received the National Alliance for Excellence award in choreography in 2000. Since than she has choreographed several works for various showcases such as an "Under the Spell Productions," a play about the color complex at UCLA, Merce Cunningham studios "pomegranate presents," Galapagos Art Space, SouthPaw, Performance project at the University Settlement, The Tank, 60x60 project "Vous Vous," the Florida Dance Festival, Dance for Peace in Fort Greene park where she choreographed pieces set on tennis courts, park benches and surrounding landscapes within the park, Harlem Stage "E-Moves, and toured an evening lenghths presentation of the tattooed ballerinas "Spectrum" at the New World school of the Arts. She has worked among wonderful choreographers such as Francesca Harper's Modo Fusion, which recently toured to the Hollands Dance Festival where a solo was created and performed by Hattie Mae Williams. Among other Choreographers she has worked with are The Kevin Wynn Collection, Johanna Mendel-Shaw "Dancing with Horses, Avila/Weeks company, and collaboration with Mark Drahozal One.618.

Nicole Mannarino

Nicole Mannarino is The Tattooed Ballerinas company rehearsal director and has been with the company since 2001. Nicole is from Dayton, Ohio and is currently living in Brooklyn. She graduated from Alvin Ailey American Dance Theather and Fordham University in 2003. She has worked with such choreographers such as Sabrina Berryman, at the Dance Theather Workshop and Dance Space in Nyc, David Huwith at DTA and the Throng Theather and the Kevin Wynn Collection.

Claudia MacPherson

Claudia MacPherson is addicted to N.Y.C, but calls Kentucky home. She recieved her BFA in dance form Alvin Ailey American Dance Center and Fordham University. Since then she has performed with Eva Dean Dance and The Kevin Wynn Collection.

Nicole Falloon

Nicole Falloon is orginally from Kingston, Jamaica. She received her first formal dance training from the New World School of the Arts in Miami,Florida. She is also a graduate of SUNY Purchase College. Nicole has been truly blessed to have worked with The Kevin Wynn Collections, Abraham In Motion, Steele Dance,Tattooed Ballerinas, Reggie Wilson's Fist and Heel performance group,Karen Love, Mark Drahozal, Lula Washington, and the Sudden Enlightment Theater.
